The Ministry of Women Affairs, says it targets more female participation in all matters relating to the national economy.
Women affairs minister
in Nigeria Mrs Pauline Tallen, says it’s office has realized the need to allow
more participation from the women angle in running the affairs of this nation
especially the economy.
She said this at the
Ministerial Forum in Abuja, adding that her ministry has recorded successes and
is poised to achieving more in no distant time in transforming the lives of
Nigerian women.
‘’Under the leadership of President Muhammadu
Buhari, thre have been commitments in creating and sensitizing the female folks
as well as empowering in different aspect’’.
According to her the
present administration has priority for women in order to boost their economy
being at the forefront in sustaining democracy by turning out in mass during
the previous elections, thus they deserve to be given attention as many of them
are in to trades.
‘’The International
Pink Traders’ Fair of 50 million African Women Speak Project 50MWSP was an
avenue for women entrepreneurs to display their goods and talent’’.
It was one out of many
programs the ministry of women affairs embacked upon to help women, believing
that without empowerment nothing can be achieved easily in changing women lives
all through.
“Nigeria for Women project” which started in
six states across the geo-political zones will be enhanced to empower more
women from the grassroots’’.
The project is a grass-root
program.
President Muhammadu Buhari he has approved the project which is being extended to the 36
states.
