Federal University Dutsinma (FUDMA) Katsina State, to Commence Lectures on Oct. 23, 2022

 


Oct. 23, 2022 has been fixed for the recommencement of lectures at the Federal University Dutsinma (FUDMA) Katsina State, after calling off of ASUU’s eight months strike.

The State-owned University, Umar Musa Yar’adua University (UMYU) also announced Oct. 24 for the keep-fit after reopening on Monday.

The eight months old strike was embarked upon indefinitely on Feb. 14 early this year, 2022 and it has witnessed series of failed negotiations between Nigerian Government and the Academic staff union of universities ASUU until the recent one that proved to be successful.

According to the Federal University Dutsinma (FUDMA) spokesperson,Malam Habib Umar Amin lectures would resume on Thursday as examination would start same day of resumption.

He said plans have been made for a hitch-free commencement of the second semester of the 2020/2021 lectures in the institution.

 Concerning the issue of insecurity bedeviling the state Habib said the university made proper arrangement to ensure the protection of lives and properties

In his remarks, the Public Relations Officer of Umar Musa Yar’adua University (UMYU) Abdulhamid Danjuma, said the management of the school met with the deans and head of departments on the commencement of their 2021/2022 session.

‘’School had already resumed, but the academic calendar was expected to be modified and the lectures would continue’’.
