We will Reposition Primary Health Care - Kano Gov.


Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje reassured his commitment to reposition the primary health care services in Kano.

Governor Ganduje disclosed while signing an MoU between Kano State Government and Bill Gates and Melinda Foundation, Dangote Foundation and UNICEF, which was held at Government House, Kano.

He mentioned that Kano State have made a lot of progress towards strengthening Health care services system in the state.

The Governor assured that his administration will remain committed in improving health care delivery services both at primary health care system and secondary health institutions level.

He therefore urged all and sundry to put hand on deck in order to attain the desired goals in the health sub sector statewide.

On his part, Emir of Kano Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, said the state is witnessing third MOU in the state health basket fund.

The Emir narrates that Kano State successes stories in the health sub sector led to have such assistance to other states.

He added that the new MoU will build on the previous ones with a view to past tracking achievements in health service system statewide.

In their separate remarks, the principal partners in the MoU said tremendous successes have been recorded in the area of primary health care in Kano State.

They reaffirmed that Kano State has the capacity and potentially to do well in health services under Governor Ganduje.

They used the forum to recognize the multiple awards received by Ganduje as well as that of the state, which won best performing state in the fight against COVID 19.
