The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), is calling on Nigerians to make contributions for the National Artificial Intelligence Policy (NAIP), which will improve digital modernism and evolution of technology.
Head Corporate Affairs and External Relations of the agency, Mrs Hadiza Umar made the call in a statement she issued in Abuja, saying that countries in the world are grappling with ways to manage the exponential growth of new technologies to advance their economies.
This is against the background that Prof. Isa Pantami, Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, directed NITDA to come up with a National Artificial Intelligence Policy (NAIP) to maximize the benefits, lessen possible risks and tackle some of the difficulties in using AI in the daily tricks.
She said, this will give guidelines on how Nigeria can take advantage of AI, including the development, use, and adoption of AI to facilitate the development of Nigeria into a sustainable digital economy, thereby appealing to Nigerians to put-in, in developing the NAIP scheme.
