Corporate Affairs Commission to Boost Newly Registered SMEs in Nigeria

 


The newly registered Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) are to under-go a free automatic digital training by the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) in Nigeria.

As confirmed by the Registrar–General of the commission, Alhaji Garba Abubakar, the training will facilitate a speedy growth of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and boost their proficiency as business owners who are the back bone of the Economy.

According Abubakar, such trainings were being offered to SMEs following an approval by global registries.

He described Marketing and Sales Techniques and Introduction to Basic Book-Keeping for SMEs as the courses to receive emphasis during the rigorous training, while Networking Skills-Building Relationships for Success and Micro Insurance and Takaful for Small Business would also be taught in the course training.

The Registrar–General of the commission, the training would be conducted in collaboration with some organizations in Nigeria, as they have already started working out methods for successful start-up.

‘’Over 70 online courses were being offered previously, while thousands of trained MSMEs were engaged in the first virtual graduation in the year 2021, as efforts were geared toward training of more business owners across the country.
