President Muhammadu Buhari of
Nigeria has congratulated Abdul Samad Isyaka Rabiu, Chairman of BUA Group, on
his reappointment as President of the France-Nigeria Business Council by the
President of France, Emmanuel Macron.
The President commends Rabiu
for his very pivotal role in strengthening the objectives of the association
inaugurated last year and for retaining the trust and confidence of members
of the strategic Council.
Buhari acknowledges with great
joy that during one year of Rabiu’s management, the Council achieved considerable
advancement in tactics by some of Nigeria’s biggest banks to set up subsidiaries
in France and his company’s corporation with Axes of France to establish a
200,000 barrel per day (BPD) refinery in Akwa Ibom State and other places.
President Buhari assures BUA who happened to be a Pioneer and President
of the Council of Federal Government's steady support as top business leaders
continue to build strategic affiliations intended to improve business associations between the two nations
, apart from sustaining the economic
program of Government in the areas of infrastructural development, wealth
creation agriculture and power.
He promised Nigerians and
the foreign policy stakeholders that having reaped the benefits of major
investments into the country in the last seven years, his administration will
continue to strongly uphold Nigeria as a favorite and desirable place to global
investors.
The President said that the focal
point of his government’s economic diplomacy is inviting distant and global
investments to Nigeria.
