The International Development
Cooperation Commission in Cross River state has pledged its collaboration to
the United Nations Children’s Fund UNICEF in the areas of Healthcare and Education.
The assurance was given by the Commissioner
of the Agency, Dr Inyang Asibong, while receiving the delegates of the UNICEF led
by the chief officer of the commission in the South South/ South East regions,
Ms Juliet Chiluwe.
Other
areas of partnership comprised of water and sanitation, basic Education and child
protection as areas immensely developed by the UNICEF.
The UN has tremendously worked to uplift rural communities in
the state to compete with their counterparts across some African nations.
She said the act of Cross River state
for long has been heartening, particularly affecting children education fight
against mal- nutrition.
