High rate of unemployment among Nigerian youths has been attributed to disturbing poverty in the country.

Peter Obi said the development of any country depends largely on building the and improving the lives of it’s youths who yearly come out from universities and colleges without knowing what to do.

He said the genesis of most crimes wherever on earth has to do with lack of attaching priority to the feature of young men, adding that Nigeria has number of people living in abject poverty more than some of the world’s giant economies.

According Obi authorities should come to realize that in as much as the rate is not cut down in very near fear future there will be continued unproductiveness that in turn will affect the nation’s economy, giving reference to last year’s revenue at N1.847trillion which was largely spent in settling  debt, while citizens are in poverty.
