Nigerian security agencies have been
called upon to provide sufficient protection for corps members believed to take
part in the gubernatorial poll scheduled to take place in Ekiti state.
The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC)
said its members stand in need of tolerable
defense to be able to carry out the election duties perfectly.
Brig.-Gen. Muhammad Fadah is the
Director-general the (NYSC), he calls for collaboration of the security
agencies to pave way for hitch-free election in Ekiti state, looking at the
fact that most of them are strangers in the state.
He said this Ad-hoc work would serve as
prior experience for the corps members after leaving school and be introduced
to new environments.
The Police commissioner of Police Moronkeji
Adesina said police force would do their utmost best in giving maximum defense to
the corps members through-out the exercise.
