NMDPRA CALLED UPON TO REGULATE THE ACTIVITIES OF PRIVATE DEPOTS OWNERS

The Chairman Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria IPMAN Kano state Chapter, Bashir Danmalam has called on the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority NMDPRA to authorize private depot owners to sell petroleum products at official prices, saying it is good to look into the unbelievable skyrocketing of out of depot fees.

He said if Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority does not look into this sensitive issue Nigerian private depot will keep on doing worst, commending the attempts by authorities to evaluate petroleum transporters shipment rate.

This according to him would help in tackling problems relative to the moving of products around.

The Nigeria’s national petroleum corporation NNPC long ago  ordered the wildcat strike of taking  money from the marketers.

Concerning the state of about N1 billion reportedly paid to Pipelines and Product Marketing Company PPMC, Danmalam debunked the assertion, bating those spearheading the rumor to provide tentative evidence to support their stance.
