NIGERIA POLICE: HIGH RANKING OFFICERS TO ATTEND RETREAT IN PREPARATION OF 2023 GENERAL ELECTIONS.

 

The Inspector-General of Police Usman Alkali Baba (IGP) has permitted a recoiling for senior officers as part of their loudening towards  2023 General Elections in Nigeria.

 The IG said as the 2023 general elections draw near it has become necessary for them to have a kind of retreat as parts plans to prepare the officers in the Nigeria Police Force to face all the possible election challenges that might arise, work hard to ensure maximum security through-out the electioneering.

The Force Public Officer, in the headquarters in Abuja, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, said  the retreat was themed ‘’The Imperative of a Nigeria Police Strategic Plan For Peaceful Elections’’ which  would have  senior officers of the rank of Deputy Inspectors-General of Police (DIG), Assistant Inspectors-General of Police (AIG) as participants.

He said the Force would gradually and carefully select other participants in the security arena would and election management experts across the globe to come up with new ideas of handling election matters.

It would also be an opportunity for Senior Officers to relate with sister security agencies, nation’s electoral body both internationally and other-wise.

The event was expected to be declared by president Muhammadu Buhari as important notes will be delivered.
