INTRODUCTION OF IPPIS UNCOVERS MORE THAN 70,000 BANSHEE WORKERS IN NIGERIA - BPSR

 


The federal government says it’s coming up with the Integration Personnel and Payroll Information System IPPIS has helped tremendously in reducing the rate of financial losses in the government by uncovering many phantom workers across the country.

Explaining the achievement of the scheme, the Director-General, Bureau of Public Service Reforms Dasuki Arabi, said a total of over 70,000, thus helping government in keeping more funds from the development.

Banshee workers were fished out by a team of experts after the introduction of the new payment scale.

The Bureau  happened to be spearheading the move to ensure full execution of the  (IPPIS) which generated a lot pressure from the academic arena is still a topic of discussion in the tussle between the federal government and the Academic Staff Union of Universities and other University unions nation-wide.

According a record from the Bureau of Public Service about N220 billion was saved due to the prevalence of IPPIS in all government’s agencies and parastatals.
