During the meeting Secretary General
of NASU, Comrade Peter Adeyemi, said the meeting by the Minister of Labour and
Employment, Mr Chris Ngige is elastic giving preferred results.
Recall that in March, 2022 the
associations embarked upon a two weeks warning strike which afterward extended to
indefinite action for demands which consist of the inconsistencies
in payment with Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System(IPPIS), non-payment
of Earned Allowances, non-payment of arrears of National Minimum Wage and its
consequential adjustment.
Time
without number the union had met with Nigerian government to no avail, after
which they decided not to go to class or attend meeting, a development that
resulted to ‘No work, No pay’ policy by the federal government.
