FIFA DIRECTED FOR THE REPLAY OF DISCARDED BRAZIL, ARGENTINA 2022 QUALIFIER

 


The World football governing body FIFA established  that the discarded 2022 World Cup qualifier between Brazil and Argentina will be replayed next month.

This is coming after Brazilian Football Association (CBF) and the Argentinian Football Association (AFA) lodged their complain to the FIFA Appeal Committee.

After analysing the submissions of both parties and considering all circumstances of the case, the Appeal Committee confirmed that the match would be replayed.

Earlier Brazilian health authorities had insisted that some Argentina players had entered the country in breach of then corona virus regulations.

The global Football body had condensed a 250,000 Swiss franc fine for Brazil in respect to infringements linked to security.

Brazil finished up top in the South American qualifying competition for the World Cup in Qatar afterward this year with Argentina second.

Additionally also reduced  100,000 franc fine forced on the AFA for its failure to comply with its obligations in relative to the grounding of its participation in the match.
