EXPERTS CALL FOR EARLY CHILDHOOD CARE TO IMPROVE EDUCATION IN NIGERIA

 

Early Childhood Care, Development and Education (ECCDE) has been described critical to fostering a child’s educational maturity.

Mr ,Hammid Bobboyi, the Executive Secretary, Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC)  said this in a statement signed by UBEC Head of Public Relations, Mr David Apeh, on Monday in Abuja.

The executive secretary made this known at the opening of a capacity development training of  teachers and caregivers of UBEC ECCDE in Kano.

 Represented by the Deputy Executive Secretary, Technical, Prof. Bala Zakari, explained that the capacity building workshop was focused on learning with play, brain and physical development of a child.

He highly praised the endeavor of all care givers and stakeholders concerned in the process of ensuring that this capacity building.

The training was aimed at exposing  participants to the  techniques on Reggio Emilia and other child central approaches so that they  would be able to manage efficiently.
