BORNO : Gov. Zulum dissolves council

 


Borno State governor of Babagana Umara Zulum, has yesterday May 5, 2022 dissolved his state executive council. 

Permanent secretary in charge of administration and general services in the state Danjuma told journalists yesterday.

He said the decision was necessary to allow members of the governor’s cabinet with  aspiration in the  coming elections, to be serious in the race.

This is coming just a single day after the governor had time-honored to run for second term in office under the umbrella All Progressives Congress (APC).

Governor Zulum had received the sum of N50 million expression of interest and nomination forms for the state 2023 guber election which was reportedly contributed by a total of 150  associations loyal to him.

It is the first time  governor Zulum made dissolution since his assumption of  office on May 29, 2019.
